Repairs and Servicing  We recommend that a bike is serviced every six months and offer a variety of service options including our annual Bike Service Plans. See below for pricing. We also run regular bike maintenance classes for budding home mechanics. Wheel Building A set of handbuilt custom wheels is the best upgrade you can make to your bike and can transform your ride. They’ll be lighter, with reduced  rolling resistance and will be stiffer and stronger than standard factory made wheels. Walkers Cycling has a pedigree of excellence in wheel  building - whether you want a bomb-proof set to charge down the mountain or a skinny lightweight set to fly round the velodrome, we can build  them. Finding the right balance of these in an off-  the-peg bike can be difficult, so when you really want to get as close to perfection as possible - a custom build may be the answer. Are you worried  about the bike breaking down while out on a ride? Walkers Cycling  offers a range of maintenance classes covering everything from  puncture repairs to specialist wheel building and brake bleeding. Our spacious, purpose-built workshop is equipped with  professional quality tools and has the facilities to accommodate  day-time and evening classes for groups or individuals. All classes are led by one of our Cytech Level 3 qualified  mechanics. You’ll get to practise the skills you learn on your own  bike, using the right tools for the job. Basic Maintenance Course - £30 Per Person Held over 1 evening, 2 hours, maximum 3 or 4 students.  Advanced Maintenance Course - £75 Per Person Held over 2 evenings, 3 hours per evening, maximum 3 students.   Wheel Building Course - £75 Per Person Held over 2 evenings, 3 hours per evening, maximum 2 students.  If you’re interested in one of our courses then ask in-store for  details or visit the Maintenance page at our online shop.
