| New Bike Sales: Terms & Conditions - Walkers Cycling |
- All bicycles remain the property of Walkers Cycling Services Limited until paid in full.
- Payments may be made by cash, credit and debit cards. Finance available. All goods must be paid for in full before collection or delivery.
- On purchasing a bicycle the customer should agree a collection or delivery date. If delivery is required there will be a charge of £10 for addresses within the Kilmaurs, Knockentiber, Crosshouse, Fenwick, Kilmarnock, Stewarton, Dunlop, Irvine, Hurlford, Galston, Newmilns and Darvel areas (delivery on Christmas Eve £15). Please enquire for other areas.
- Please note that deposits are non-refundable. A deposit may be transferred to a different bicycle by agreement between the customer and Walkers Cycling Services Limited.
- Returns - We encourage customers to try out a bicycle before purchase to ensure correct sizing. Exchanges will not normally be accepted after collection or delivery.
- Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the bicycle reserved is is identical to the model viewed, manufacturers reserve the right to change the specification. Please note that colours can vary between different batches of cycles.
- All bicycles are sold fully assembled, safety checked and come with the full manufacturer's warranty. Cables tend to stretch after the first few uses and we encourage you to bring the bicycle back to Walkers Cycling for a free service after 4 to 6 weeks of use, but no later than 3 months after collection or delivery. A charge will be made for this service after 3 months.
- Tyres, brake blocks, brake pads, bearings, cables and drive chains are consumable items which wear with use. These are not covered by warranty except for manufacturing defects. Repair of components due to accidental damage will be charged at normal servicing rates.
- Punctures happen! The likelihood of a puncture can be minimised by keeping tyres inflated to the pressure recommended by the manufacturer. This will be marked on the side wall of the tyre.
The Terms and Conditions applicable to new bike sales do not affect your statutory rights.
Additional terms and conditions apply to cycles purchased under cyclescheme and the East Ayrshire Council Cycle to Work Scheme. Full details of these are available on application.

- Sale bikes must be paid for in full at the time of purchase and and collected within 7 days of purchase. Bikes not collected within 7 days of purchase will incur a storage charge of £10 per week. Please try bikes for size before purchase or, if you are buying a bike for someone else, please be sure you have the correct size. We strongly advise that the other person should try the bike for size before purchase. It is not possible to exchange or refund a sale bike after purchase.
- Payments may be made by cash, credit or debit cards. All goods must be paid for in full before collection or delivery - we cannot reserve sale bikes without full payment. All goods remain the property of Walkers Cycling Services Limited until paid in full. We regret that we cannot offer interest free finance or accept Cyclescheme vouchers for discounted bikes.
- On purchasing a bicycle the customer should agree a collection or delivery date. If delivery is required there will be a charge of £10 for addresses within the Kilmaurs, Knockentiber, Crosshouse, Fenwick, Kilmarnock, Stewarton, Dunlop, Irvine, Hurlford, Galston, Newmilns and Darvel areas.
