Walkers Cycling Services Ltd (the "Company") reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify these Terms of Use at any time and you agree to be bound by such modifications through your use of the company's website.

Adult Bikes - Terms & Conditions

All bicycles remain
the property of Walkers Cycling
Services Limited until paid in
full.

Payments may be
made by cash, credit and debit
cards. We regret that we are are
unable to accept payment by cheque
or American Express card. Interest
free finance available on purchases
over £500. All
goods must be paid for in full
before collection or delivery.

On purchasing a
bicycle the customer should agree
a collection/delivery date within
30 days of the bike becoming
available. Delivery can be arranged for a charge - please
enquire for details.

Please note that deposits are non-refundable unless Walkers Cycling is unable to supply the bike ordered. If you are not sure whether you want a particular bike, please enquire about gift vouchers.

Returns -
We encourage customers to try out
a bicycle before purchase to ensure
correct sizing. Exchanges will
not normally be made after collection
or delivery. Please note: we cannot exchange helmets after they have left our premises.

Whilst every effort
is made to ensure that the bicycle
reserved is identical to the
model viewed, manufacturers reserve
the right to change the specification.
Please note that colours can vary
slightly between different batches
of cycles.

All bicycles are
sold fully assembled and safety
tested. Cables can stretch
after the first few uses and we
encourage you to bring the bicycle
back to Walkers Cycling for a free
first service after 4 to
6 weeks
but
no later than 2 months after collection.
You will then receive a voucher for a half-price service.

Tyres, brake blocks, brake pads, bearings, cables and chains are consumable items which wear with use. These are not covered by warranty except for manufacturing defects. Repair of components due to accidental damage will be charged at normal servicing rates.

Punctures happen! The likelihood of a puncture can be minimised by keeping tyres well inflated.
The Terms and Conditions above are applicable to new adult bike sales from 1st January 2012 and do not affect your statutory rights. Separate terms and conditions apply to cycles purchased from our online shopping website. Additional terms and conditions may apply to cycles purchased under cycle to work schemes. Full details of these are available on application.

Cycle Trade-in Vouchers: Terms & Conditions
-
The Walkers Cycling Trade-in Voucher scheme is available on purchases of new adult cycles and children's cycles of wheel size 20" and above excluding sale cycles.
-
The Trade-in Voucher value will be £25 for an adult's cycle and £15 for a child's cycle.
-
The trade-in bike must be complete with all component parts.
-
The Trade-in Voucher may be redeemed against the purchase of parts and accessories for the new cycle only (i.e. excludes workshop time and purchases of sale items and new cycles)
-
The voucher may be redeemed up to two months after the purchase of the new cycle. Alternatively, the voucher can be redeemed at the time of purchase.
-
Only one Trade-in Voucher can be issued and redeemed per new cycle purchased.
-
There will be no cash alternatives.
-
The trade-in bike may be passed on to a local charity bike recycling project. Further details available on request at the time of purchase.
The
Terms and Conditions above do
not affect your statutory rights.
The Cycle Trade-in Vouchers Terms
& Conditions are
applicable from
1st January 2012.
Repairs & Servicing - Terms & Conditions
-
Repairs must be paid for in full before the the cycle is taken away. Payments can be made by cash, credit or debit card. For estimates over £50.00 a 50% deposit may be required.

Bicycles overdue for collection 7 days after the arranged collection date or after completion of the repair work will incur a storage charge of £10.00 per week.
-
A bicycle abandoned will be disposed of to cover the cost of storage and repair after 30 days.
The Terms and
Conditions above
do not affect your statutory
rights. The Repairs and Servicing
Terms & Conditions
are applicable from 1st January
2010.

Cycle Carrier Rack Fitting - Terms & Conditions
Customers are advised that, whilst we are happy to demonstrate how to fit a car rack supplied by us, Walkers Cycling Services Ltd cannot take responsibility for the suitability of safety of any car rack fitted to your car.
If you wish us to fit a car rack to your car, we will require you to sign a disclaimer form which reads as follows:-
'We do not have information from your vehicle manufacturer that the cycle rack that you wish us to fit is suitable. We recommend that you contact the vehicle manufacturer before we fit the cycle rack in what appears to be the most appropriate manner for your vehicle and following any instructions provided with the rack. In that case we cannot guarantee that the rack will not cause damage to your vehicle and operate satisfactorily in all situations. We cannot agree to be responsible for any loss or damage to your property or that of any other person.
If you are not prepared for us to fit the rack on this basis then we will not proceed.
I accept that Walkers Cycling Services (trading as Walkers Cycling) will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by me or any other person as a result of the fitting and operation of the cycle carrier rack fitted to my car.'
