Course Planning
There is more to designing and preparing courses than just deciding on the route. Accessibility for spectators, or emergency services and convenient sites for event HQ all need to be thought of before any pedals are turned. Effective direction signs to the venue and on the course mean that your participants and spectators find their way and arrive happy.

Is your course spectator friendly? We can advise on this aspect of your event too. Sponsors are always keen to maximise the return on their investment. Increasing the number of spectators around the course plays a crucial role in increasing awareness of sponsors' products and services.

Risk Assessment
Every activity carries an element of risk - no matter how small. Have you considered the safety implications of your event? Risk assessment and minimisation is an essential part of preparing for any event - on or off-road. In today's increasingly litigious society it is essential to carry out an assessment of the potential risks to competitors, officials and members of the public. New regulations will require this and your event insurance may not be valid unless it has been undertaken.

Walkers Cycling Services can guide you through the requirements of the new British Cycling Event Safety Code. We can take a fresh look at your course and produce all the documentation necessary to comply with current and impending legislation.

Existing Courses
We can also recommend safety measures and alterations to improve new or existing courses. Sometimes a different pair of eyes can spot something that has been overlooked.
