| Ibis
Cycles
Ibis build mouthwatering desirable
carbon road and cyclocross bikes along
with beautifully light carbon hardtail
and full sus mountain bikes. Quality,
not quantity, is the name of the Ibis
game and while their range of frame
sets is fairly small, the company offer
a tempting choice of component kits
allowing a good degree of customisation
in the spec.

Features of the Silk SL:
|
The 2011 Ibis Silk SL uses a
refined layup of high modulus
carbon fibre, fine tuning prior
year's weight savings and gaining
in strength. Carbon fibre
headcups help reduce weight,
resulting in a 58cm frame weight
of about 2.2 lbs.
The Silk SL
is stiff but remarkably smooth
riding - what you get is the
responsiveness of a large tube
aluminium bike combined with
the suppleness of a Ti frame.
Not only stiff and light but
also very strong, the Silk SL
can survive a 900 pound frontal
impact (at the front axle) before
a failure of the down tube, stronger
than many full-suspension mountain
bikes!
Superior quality paint finishes,
understated graphics and a cast
bronze head badge underline the
sheer class of the Silk SL.
