Real World Coaching

Real World Coaching is a wholly owned subsidiary of Walkers Cycling - Ayrshire's cycling specialists.

Neil Walker - Coach

Neil is a British Cycling qualified coach and has an honours degree in Applied Sports Science from Edinburgh University.

Since 1999 Neil has been employed in elite level cycling as a Coach and Performance Manager with the Scotland and Great Britain Cycling Teams, in disciplines including road, time trial, track endurance and MTB XC and Downhill.

Neil has been racing bikes for 19 years, starting with MTBs and progressing to set Scottish Junior time-trial records and going on to win Scottish Championship Medals on road, track and MTB.

He represented Scotland in the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur . More recently Neil has been competing in solo 24 hour MTB endurance races, finishing 3rd in the 2007 Strathpuffer 24 hour event.
